One of the first things a customer will ask him/herself is what is so great about this place? Well.. We are a small, family owned and operated restaurant since 2005. Why is this a great thing? There is no employee that you can hire that will have the concern for the way foods come out than the owner him/herself. Being small lets me stay in control of all the food that goes onto customers plates, and strive my best to put the freshest, and the most flavorful Indian food out there. All our food is bought here locally, and prepared in small batches. We have been here for 10 years and counting so it just shows our experience and passion for this industry. Lastly, we only focus on a few items that we know well and have worked on over the years rather than trying to offer every kind of food there is in India. We still have something for everyone however; vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian choices.
Another common question in a customer’s mind is, is the food good? A customer once asked my father this question before he took her order. He chuckles at her, and say’s, “I will always say the food is excellent, but you have to try and see for yourself.” That customer before walking away, says “food is good, we will be back before we leave town” (she and her company were in Tucson for the Gem and Mineral Show).
The last common question in a customer’s mind is, what’s good here? Well, I will always say, everything on the menu but what distinguishes us from others is we mainly focus on South Indian foods like Dosa (a crepe made from rice and lentil batter), Idli Sambar (steamed rice and lentil cake served with a spicy lentil soup), Biriyani (spiced rice dish cooked with meat), and Curry (a hot saucy dish with lots of spices and chilies). Although we do have great Tikka Masala, Korma, Aloo Gobi, Paalak Paneer, and Naan. And most of our curries can be adjusted to either mild, medium, or spicy spice levels.
